Prayer for a Sister

On January 17, 2012 my friend Deb Mathew tweeted for her friends to "please pray for my sister! She is in ICU critical condition can't keep heart rate down & in a med induced coma! TY" Please join me in this prayer, or offer one of your own.

May the One who blessed our Matriarchs and Patriarchs
Sarah, Rebecca, Rachel, and Leah
Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob
bless and strengthen
Deb Matthew's beloved sister.
May she be instilled with patience and fortitude,
sensitivity and understanding,
with courage and hope.

The love of sisters is a bond of enormous strength.
It is so strong that the most sincere way of one woman telling 
another woman how much one means to the other is to say,
You are like a sister to me. You are more than a friend. You are my family.

May the Lord on High give Deb and her sister more time to together.
Bless them both with long, full, peaceful, and happy lives
marked by a complete healing,
a healing of spirit, and a healing of body,
now and always.

In the Blink of an Eye

On December 19, 2011 Tanner was in a car accident. His car slid on some ice and crashed into an elderly couple. A prayer for Tanner is here but prayers are needed for the elderly couple, particularly the female who is in critical condition.  Please join me in praying for this elderly couple.

May the One who blessed our Matriarchs and Patriarchs
Sarah, Rebecca, Rachel, and Leah
Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob
bless and strengthen
the elderly couple injured in the recent car accident.
May they be instilled with patience and fortitude,
sensitivity and understanding,
with courage and hope.

Life is too often taken for granted.
But in less than a blink of eye life can change,
sometimes for better and too often for worse.
The accident that led to the injuries to this elderly couple
and to Tanner and his girlfriend is another example of life's fragility.
I pray that out of this horrible incident that you, Lord,
will have mercy on all involved
and guide all on a path that will make their lives better than before the accident.

Give this elderly couple the chance to complete their
long, full, peaceful, and happy life
marked by a complete healing
a healing of spirit, and a healing of body,
now and always.

My son's friend Jimmy has a very treatable form of cancer.  Early reports are good that he will beat this. Please join me in praying for his full recovery.

My twitter friend, Deb Mathew, tweeted today (12/19/11) that her son's best friend & his girlfriend were in car accident today. Please join me in prayer for them.
